Pierre Paulin

Brief Biography:
Pierre Paulin was a French furniture designer and interior designer. In his early career, he was first trained to become a ceramist in Vallaurius on the French Rivera and then as a stone-carver in Burgundy. He later attended the Ecole Camondo in Paris. A brief job with the Gascoin in Le Havre gained him an interest in Scandinavian and Japanese designs and led him to become one of the important designers in the 20th century. He was famed for his innovative work with Dutch firm Artifort in the 1960s and interior design in the 70's. rnHis designs were known for their organic form and playful silhouette and became iconic for the 60s-70s disco era.
